Job Description: CNC Operator (Homag/Holzher Machines)

Position Overview: As a CNC Operator specializing in Homag and Holzher machines, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of wood-based products, such as furniture, cabinetry, and other wooden components. Your primary responsibility will be operating and maintaining the CNC machines, ensuring their proper functioning, and producing high-quality products according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines, specifically Homag and Holzher models, to perform various woodworking tasks, including cutting, milling, shaping, and drilling.

Programming: Load and execute CNC programs to produce wooden components based on engineering drawings or digital models. Make adjustments to program settings as needed to achieve precise and accurate outputs.

Material Preparation: Prepare wood materials by selecting appropriate stock, measuring and cutting them to the required sizes, and positioning them correctly on the CNC machine's worktable.

Tooling and Maintenance: Install and maintain cutting tools, drill bits, and other accessories required for the CNC machines. Regularly inspect and replace worn-out tools to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

Quality Control: Monitor the CNC machine's performance during operation and conduct visual inspections of the finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve common machine issues, such as tool breakage, material misalignment, and programming errors. Troubleshoot technical problems and perform basic maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Production Scheduling: Coordinate with production managers and team leaders to prioritize work orders, meet deadlines, and ensure efficient production flow.

Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including the number of parts produced, time taken for each task, and any issues encountered during the production process.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize CNC processes, increase productivity, and enhance product quality. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to implement improvements and best practices.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably with expertise in operating Homag and Holzher machines.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and CNC programming.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to handle heavy machinery and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality products.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot CNC machine issues.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
