**Qualification & Experience**
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution college / university acceptable to Kahramaa or Secondary School certificate with Technical Trade certificate.
- Ability to communicate, read and write in English at Secondary School Level.
- Minimum 03 years of experience in switchgear with major utilities / organizations for Diploma holders, and 06 years’ experience is required for Trade certificate holders.
- Good knowledge of switchgear operation & maintenance. Basic understanding of cable circuits.
- Should be familiar with different makes of the switchgear.
- Should be familiar with control circuits & related trouble shooting jobs.
- Knowledge of Safety Rules and Regulations.
- Ability of identifying the parts and usage of proper tools.

**Major Duties**

Daily inspection of substation assigned to them and submit daily progress report.
- Assists KM Engineers and KM Supervisors / Technicians
- Take corrective actions for problems noticed as per approved Work Instructions.
- Maintains accurate record of site activities.
- Performs emergency response activities as required.
- Monitors and ensures the quality of works done.
- Performs general housekeeping functions, as necessary.
- He must be available ‘on call’ after normal working hour also for attending stand by calls.
- Carry Out Transformer, GIS, Reactor and 11kV Switch gear maintenance activity.
- Carrying out maintenance activities or any other work specifically assigned by KM supervisor

**Other Significant Requirements**
- Good technical knowledge.
- Fluent in English and ability to communicate with superiors.
- Requires extensive traveling between venues / depots during normal and or outside office hours.
- Requires mobile communication while on duty outside the office.
- Requires mobile communication outside normal office hours for emergency purposes.
- He must pass interview for competent person for receiving PTW and LOA.
- Proper efficient technical staff with tool-bag as necessary for independent work in KM substations.
