Safety/quality Lead

At **Eni**, we are looking for a **Safety/Quality Lead**within our Branch in **Qatar**. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the Project Safety and Quality Plans (NFXPS PMT and Shipyard), while maintaining a close working relationship with the Shipyard Quality and Engineering teams.

**As a member of the NFXP Shipping Project team, you will be responsible for**:

- Monitoring QA/QC activities (QC inspections, testing activities, etc.) and HSE activities (Site walks, inspections, testing activities, etc.) of Ship Owners/Shipyards, ensuring that the QA/QC program is fully functional in accordance with ISO 9001 and contract requirements with applicable legislative and QG HSEQ standards requirements as set out in the TCP and SBC.
- Assisting in the selection and staffing of key safety and quality practitioners.
- Developing and implementing the Project Quality Plan and related procedures (Engineering Surveillance, Construction, etc.), and ensuring continual improvement of Project Quality Management Systems and control procedures through implementation of Lessons Learned. Provision of support to site manager for HSEQ tracking and trend analysis.
- Developing and implementing the Project Safety Plan and related procedures (Security, Engineering Surveillance, Construction etc.), and ensuring continual improvement of Project Safety.
- Leading Safety and Quality investigations and root cause analysis.
- Ensuring audits are performed as scheduled and resolution and closure of audit findings are timely.
- Participating in safety/quality audits carried out by Site Team/Ship Owners/Shipyards, providing feedback and offer opportunities for improvement.
- Managing the construction NCR and Corrective Actions procedures and its implementation, by ensuring Site team has a process in place that allows for the timely response, resolution and closure.
- Managing Vendor Surveillance Program, oversighting of approved vendor lists and vendor quality audits and leading project handover to operations, as well as participating in close-out reports
- Auditing vendor data packages for acceptance.
- Collaborating with Shipyard’s purchasing manager to ensure products from external suppliers meet quality requirements.
- Training, orientation and roll-out of any new quality-related process that affects PMT.
- Leading Project hand over and participating in Close-out report.
- Reviewing/providing input to the Ship Owner’s Safety/Quality plans and procedures.
- Continually assessing safety performance (both leading and lagging indicators) and providing input to the Ship Owner’s/Builder’s HSE plans and procedure.
- Developing emergency response plans for security scenarios and participating in Ship Builder’s emergency response planning.
- Providing advice to site leadership team on security responses for emergency exercises/drills and actual events regarding employee security and welfare, security of assets, and investigative matters.

- Degree/Diploma in Safety, Engineering or Science.
- Extensive experience associated with HSEQ Control & coordination of quality activities within the Oil & Gas Construction Industry, with a minimum of five years' experience in supervisory roles in the oil and gas industry, including construction of LNG CarriersExperience with multi-national contractors & vendors, in particular those involved in the construction of LNG production facilities.
- Strong coordination skills, extensive HSEQ experience in responsible roles on major oil & gas engineering and construction projects.
- Experienced in facilitating and coordinating efforts to resolve interfaces issues.
- Experience with conducting audits and assessing process-driven quality systems.
- A thorough knowledge of codes and standards in relation to site construction and working within a structured HSEQ Management System.
- Must be capable of positive decision-making and demonstrate a high level of judgement and responsibility
- Commitment to Confidentiality of information.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Good communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with Shipping related documents.
- Proven high quality work with a proactive and results orientated attitude.
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and PC Skills.
