**Key Accountabilities & Activities**:

- Develop research projects under the supervision of the head of research including, but not limited to:

- Obtain the necessary scientific and ethics approval.
- Perform data collection in accordance to the best laboratory standard (e.g. ensure that equipment is calibrated and maintained as per manufacturer’s recommendations prior to each testing session, perform pilot testing, etc.).
- Comply with Aspetar regulation (e.g. safety).
- Enter data into appropriate programms for subsequent statistical analysis.
- Perform analyses and interpretation.
- Publish scientific literature as well as translate research into practice.
- Assist in data collection with other research projects.
- Assume any other responsibilities as directed by the direct supervisor.

**Necessary knowledge and Experience to be able to do the job**:

- 3-5 years of university experience in which a minimum of 1 year of research experience.
- Implementation of 1 previous research project.

**Education and Certification requirements**:

- Master degree or equivalent
- Planning to enroll or being enrolled in a PhD would be an asset. This position provides the opportunity to pursue a PhD with a partner institution.

**Job specific technical Skills**
- Experience in testing athletes and patients would be an asset.
- Experience in various exercise testing laboratories would be an asset.
- Experience in statistics would be an asset
