**POSITION**:
Sr. QA/QC Engineer - QA/QC Engineer

**REPORTING TO**:
Direct Supervisor: Project Manager

Indirect reporting to Head of Quality Department

**Minimum Qualifications**:
Engineering Degree + 10 years of experience, 2 of them in in Sites Quality Management.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

**1. Implementation of QA/QC Activities**:

- Ensure that all QA/QC activities are executed in accordance with the established Method statement, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Control Procedures outlined in the Project Quality Plan.

2. **Monitoring of QA/QC Processes**:

- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of QA/QC processes to maintain and enhance quality standards

**3. Conduct Inspections and Tests**:

- Conduct inspections and monitor required tests to verify compliance with project quality requirements and client specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections and test results.

**4. Document Compliance**:

- Ensure that all material submittals, method statements, and other project-related documentation meet project specifications and contract requirements.
- Verify, prepare, and submit these documents as needed.

**5. Coordinate with Independent Testing Agencies**:

- Collaborate with independent testing agencies to ensure that required tests are conducted in accordance with project specifications.
- Ensure that testing reports are accurately and promptly submitted.

**6. Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)**:

- Identify and report any non-conformities or discrepancies that deviate from contract specifications or industry practices.
- Document NCRs and work towards their resolution.

**7. Attend QA/QC Meetings**:

- Participate in site QA/QC meetings with project management and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address quality-related issues and ensure project alignment.

**8. Maintain Quality Records**:

- Maintain comprehensive quality records related to the project, ensuring proper identification, traceability, and accessibility.

**9. Monitor Subcontractor Performance**:

- Monitor subcontractors' quality of work, document submissions, and quality records against subcontractor QA/QC plans and overall project quality system requirements.

**10. Drawings Oversight**:

- Oversee the use of drawings by the construction team to ensure that outdated or superseded drawings are not in use, helping to prevent errors.

**11. Stop Work Authority**:

- Work closely with the Project Manager to address discrepancies and unresolved issues.
- Have the authority to stop work in areas where discrepancies remain unresolved and issue Non-Conformance Reports.
- Cancel Stop Work Orders or close NCRs upon satisfactory correction of deficiencies.

**12. Review Technical Documentation**:

- Review technical documentation related to QA/QC, including subcontractor documentation such as Method Statements and Material Submittals.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and the Project QA/QC Plan.

- Bachelor's (required)

License/Certification:

- UPDA, Grade A, B or minimum C. (required)
