**Title: Receptionist Division: ECGC**

**Reports to: Senior Receptionist Department: Golf Operations**

**2. Job Purpose**:
To provide a full time point of contact for the front office of the golf operations department.
Assists with administration for golf operations and membership sales, and fields incoming enquiries to the facility.
Ensures accurate booking of advance and regular tee times for members and guests.
Provides a contact point for booking and administration of tour operator tee times and assists in the organisation and administration of golf tournaments. Provides an information point for members and guests on the facilities at the club and can provide tours for potential members and clients.

**4. Key Result Areas**:
**KEY RESULT AREAS**
- Ensures that tee times are booked accurately.
- Assists in setting up tee sheets for the year.
- Takes check-ins for golf course and academy facility.
- Cash handling as per the company guidelines
- Answers incoming phone and personal enquires and field questions or transfers to an appropriate department until resolution is made with the client
- Reports necessary tee time information to various departments.
- Assists Tournament Coordinator with coordination of tournament functions.
- Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department
Manager.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Attends staff meetings.

The **Receptionist
- **will work within the management offices of the ECGC, however will be required to visit other departments on the project site from time to time.
Work may be required from time to time at other locations operated by the owners and management company.
Work may be required at temporary locations on the project site during special events.

**6. Communications and Working Relationships**:

- **Receptionist** - will be required to produce and submit monthly management reports with
5 working days of the period end
- Other more timely reports may be required on specific days of the week, these deadlines must be adhered to
- Communication is expected to be carried out in a professional and courteous manner using various communication mediums, depending on the urgency of the matter the
**Receptionist** should use their discretion on the most appropriate medium to ensure the message is received by the intended recipient
- All communication should be carried out within the culture, values and brand guidelines ofECGC

**7. Problem Solving & Complexity**:

- It is expected that **Receptionist** tackles all problems utilizing problem solving techniques
(offered in induction) to provide solutions to their direct reports before a collaborative decision on the right way forward is agreed.

**8. Decision Making Authority & Responsibility**:
In the event of the problem needing resolved for a customer and an immediate result expected the **Receptionist** has the level of authority up to the value of **_Insert amount_ **to ensure a satisfactory result for the customer.

**9. Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: May be required: to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; to write routine reports and correspondence; to speak effectively before groups of customers
or associates of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: May be required: to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
