The primary responsibilities of the **Database Administrator**:

- Perform system administration activities
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Support the daily business activities by responding within operation level agreements (OLAs) to all support tickets as they occur.
- Document new requirements, participate in overall design, test, and implement new features.
- Deploy enhancements and changes on SQL database systems as required
- Seek out methods to better handle data and increase system efficiency
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct database-related issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- University Degree in Information Systems and equivalent experience
- 3+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Experience in backups restores and recovery models
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Experience working with Windows servers, including Active Directory
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications are a plus
- Experience in Oracle database support is a plus
