**Job overview**:

- Liaise with internal and external entities for AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) preparation regarding budget additions, transfers and carryovers
- Provide up-to
- date information on funds available for centers and departments in terms of operating and capital budgets
- Work with internal and external entities, vendors and shared service departments on the submission and approval of invoices. Address any processing issues and payment adjustments
- Ensure the proper authorization, coding, accuracy and timeliness of payments, liaising with HQ for the smooth completion of the task.
- Payables to ensure that invoices and expenses are properly booked and that payments are issued
- Cross-check invoice charges with compliance to purchase orders and agreements to ensure that the correct currency is used
- Liaise with Finance Department for making new account combinations in the ERP system and making budgets available
- Prepare monthly information reports with a view to monitoring actuals vs. budget and summarize commentaries that explain variances
- Ensure that all accounting transactions are accurate, and assist the internal auditor / external auditor during audits
- Take responsibility for petty cash disbursements for school, and liaise with Payables for submission of proper documentation
- Liaise with Admissions officer, Cashier and Receivables in case of follow-up with Supreme Education Council (SEC)/parents/ others for any outstanding receivables
- Act as focal point for the school in terms of finance-related issues.
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

Educational Qualification & Work Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Good writing skills - ability to draft / edit a variety of written reports and communications and articulate ideas clearly and concisely; proficiency in Arabic a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft computer Programs
- Ability to correctly prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner with attention to detail
