Accountable for the delivery of all products and services according to identified service level agreements (SLA s)
- Applies corrective actions on procurement process when required to enhance performance
- Establishes new processes and systems for effective procurement across the organization Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks
- Oversee all programs and assists to purchase all materials and non-capital asset.
- Liaises between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal Units for resolution of issues
- Working with the technical affairs department, ensures that there is very clear understanding and documentation of exact technical requirements in terms of scope of quantity and quality specifications and time frames for all items being purchased
- Design and implement various purchasing strategies and procurement policies and determine appropriate programs for all purchase requirements and assist to secure supply chain by mitigating risk through singular suppliers
- Supervises and approves annual plan and budget for the Procurement Unit
- Leads and is accountable for all procurement projects
- Supervises all store activities
- Ensures an efficient and reliable management of stock
- Investigates opportunities to improve quality and manage inventory levels for all products for broader savings in inventory and storekeeping costs
- Safeguards warehouse operations, stock and inventory by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Is responsible for ensuring compliance with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions, specifically for the storage of inventory/stock that can be classified as hazardous
- Achieves financial objectives by working to approved annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Keeps senior management advised of these activities at all times.
- Accountable to ensure safe physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing storage/stacking design layouts; inspecting equipment
