**Lead Pumping Station Design Engineer**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Lead Pumping Station Design Engineer**to join our team In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the design and implementation of innovative pumping station solutions for large-scale projects.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Lead the scoping, concept, layout, and both preliminary and detailed design of water / wastewater pumping stations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client requirements.
- Design and configure layouts for pumping stations, preparing technical specifications and detailed design drawings.
- Utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models for analyzing and designing pumping station flow characteristics.
- Assess pump hydraulics, select appropriate pumps, and design configurations for inlets and intakes.
- Provide high-level, hands-on, detailed technical reviews, audits, and sign-off on all aspects of pumping station design for large-scale projects.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering qualified with relevant professional status (CEng/PE).
- Minimum of 20 years of demonstrable extensive experience in the layout and configuration design, as well as detailed design of large-scale pumping stations, including preparation of technical specifications and design drawings.
- Strong, disciplined, and task-driven characteristics; highly technical and experienced lead pumping station design specialist with expertise in scoping and designing large-scale projects.
- Proven experience in the analysis and design of pumping station flow characteristics using CFD models, along with significant experience in the assessment of pump hydraulics and the selection/configuration of pumps’ inlets/intakes.
- Recent experience providing high-level, hands-on detailed technical review and auditing, with sign-off responsibility for all aspects of pumping station design in large-scale projects.
- Experience with relevant design software platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, Flowmaster, HydroCAD) and modeling tools to enhance design accuracy and efficiency.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex design concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be registered with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in Qatar.

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring**:
