Mechanical Supervisor

**Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities**:

- Promote safe working practices and protect the health and well-being of all Employees, Subcontractors, and site people.
- Responsible for the EHS performance and safety of sub-contractors and areas under supervision.
- Reports to discipline Mechanical Engineer for technical matters.
- Checking and approving materials and equipment at the point of delivery to the site.
- Resolving site coordination problems with contractors and agreeing on solutions. Providing proactive feedback to engineering where proposed site-determined decisions could affect the design intent.
- Implementing installation quality control in accordance with specifications;
- Ensuring method statements are followed;
- Ensuring that the full value of a risk assessment is reaped;
- Enforcing applicable Exyte standard operating procedures;
- Highlighting schedule concerns and manpower concerns to the System Engineer. These concerns shall be accompanied by an evaluation of Sub-contractor shortcomings;
- Ensuring housekeeping is undertaken frequently enough to maintain a safe and neat workplace at all times;
- Interacting with all Construction Management and Exyte Quality Assurance/Quality Compliance Team, Discipline Supervisors, Mechanical System Engineer, Safety Personnel, Client Representatives and Sub-contractors and their Foremen;
- Arranging mock-up locations and details. Assisting the System Engineer during inspections and obtaining official agreement on the solution and aesthetic impact from all interested parties;
- Compiling Test Packs and forwarding these to the System engineer for approval prior to the scheduled line check etc.;
- Witnessing and accepting pressure testing undertaken by subcontractors;
- Ensuring equipment has been pre-tested and that systems are complete (including sub-systems) in accordance with need dates;
- Assisting the System Engineer during equipment turn-on, trial runs and commissioning. The scope includes trouble-shooting;
- Witnessing and accepting the balancing of systems;
- Arranging, planning and implementing internal punch-listing and punch-list clearing regimes in accordance with Exyte standard operating procedures
- Assisting the System Engineer during Client inspections;
- Understand the scope and drawings for the sub-contractors under supervision;
- Comply with Exyte commercial processes & liaise with package engineer relevant to the job scope.

**Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities**:

- Associate or bachelors degree.
- 3+ years of experience as mechanical engineer in GCC.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Can provide **secondment letter/Work Permit.**:

- **Valid Hamad card is mandatory.**
