Service Engineer

The **Service Engineer - 4-Stroke Engine** is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on 4-stroke marine engines. This role involves working on a variety of marine vessels to ensure optimal engine performance, reduce downtime, and enhance the efficiency of maintenance operations. The engineer will work closely with marine engineers, technical teams, and clients to deliver high-quality service in marine environments.

- Responsible for his team, his own work tasks as required by seniors time to time in accordance with assigned responsibilities.
- To read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
- To research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements.
- Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
- Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of service & maintenance, including selection of methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
- Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, or repair to ensure that machines or equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Conduct research that tests or analyses the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.
- Write performance requirements for engineering projects.
- Perform personnel functions, such as supervision of workers, technicians, or other engineers.
- Establish or coordinate the maintenance or safety procedures, service schedule, or supply of materials required to maintain machines or equipment in the prescribed condition.
- To carry out maintenance and repair of all type of machines like Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, four and two stroke diesel engines and other internal combustion engines, gas and steam turbines, boilers, separation systems, cooling-heating, air conditioning etc
- Lead to Perform Major Overhauls of various portfolio engines
- To lead service technicians to carry out maintenances commissioning, performance tests, troubleshooting & root cause analysis.
- To carry out all kind of maintenance, planned, unplanned, preventive, trouble shooting
- Assist in preventive vibration measurement and analysis and preventive maintenance based on this analysis.
- Responsible for preparing detailed reports on all the work that is done on each machine.
- To conduct safety checks on all the machines or it could prove to be dangerous for the workers working on them
- It is incumbent upon Service Engineer to adhere to timelines and projects completion deadline agreed between line manager and team.
- Keep record, inform the superior, and team about recent lessons learnt in order to avoid repetition of similar problems or to increase effectiveness and efficiency in future.
- Implementation of HSE standards in maintenance activities.
- To be aware of and adhere to all Health & Safety laws & guidelines relevant to this role and to the safety of colleagues, visitors and external partner is compulsory.
- Familiarize, understand and implement safety, and environment policy, procedures, legal regulations and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility.

**You can help us with these qualifications**:

- Degree in Engineering in relevant areas preferably Marine / Mechanical
- Comparable vocational education with longtime related work experience or equal
- Engineer/Technician with at least 5 years of related experience in marine engines.
- Detailed understanding of the business both technical and commercial levels
- Understand and gain knowledge about Engineering products, equipment, customer base and applicable processes.

Pay: QAR15,000.00 per month
