**Department**
OPERATED ONSHORE OIL FIELD DEVELOPMENT

**Primary purpose of job**
Provide assistance in the design, implementation and maintenance of E&P data management systems relating to

production, reservoir, petrophysics, geology, drilling, seismic and well files.

Ensure data/databases are QA/QCed and evergreen since all senior management decisions on field development are all

underpinned by the quality and completeness of petroleum & geoscience data.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Identify data requirements and develop plan to integrate all/new data into departmental/divisional databases.

2. Define data management (QA/QC, dataflow analysis, data loading, validation and retrieval) and procedures to ensure

data/database integrity.

3. Ensure quality, accuracy and completeness of geoscience, production, engineering and operations data.

4. Ensure relevant databases are current and updated.

5. Generate/update geosciences / surveillance reports, KPIs, scorecards and dashboards within required deadlines.

6. Identify gaps in the current data management system and make recommendations for enhancement and efficiency of

data accessibility.

7. Make recommendations for enhancements of data analysis procedures, processes and software.

8. Provide on the job coaching and development of Qatari and less experienced staff.

9. Handle data delivery, data quality and data completeness for technical studies.

**Experience & Skills**
Required Knowledge / Skills / Experience
- 7+ years work experience in the disciplines of Petroleum Engineering and/or Geoscience data analysis activities.
- Able to communicate effectively with peers, other senior staff, field staff and management.
- Be motivated, and have a strong degree of self-confidence.
- Self reliant and be able to work with a high degree of independence.
- General understanding of petroleum / geoscience operations.

Desirable Knowledge / Skills / Experience
- Develop scripts, write code, develop macros etc to analyze, format and evaluate petroleum data
- Basic understanding of real-time data systems and smart fields operations.
- The position requires experience in working in multi-national teams.

Software Knowledge/Experience
- Expert user of standard office software (MSOffice or equivalent).

Eclipse, Petrel, Oracle, LogDB, Finder, OpenWorks, ELAN/Geoframe, IP Interactive Petrophysics, Emeraude, Saphir,

ArcGIS)

**Education**
B.Sc. degree in Engineering, Geoscience or Computer Science, is the minimum technical requirement for this position.
