**GENERAL PURPOSE**

To be responsible to work at all times in maximizing the hotel’s occupancy potential, whilst protecting the Hotel's business mix.

**Specific Job Responsibilities**
- To coordinate office activities to ensure work updates are consistently maintained and all correspondence promptly handled on the same day it is received.
- To ensure that all reservations are thoroughly reviewed prior to guest arrival.
- To take charge of special requests and any problems that may arise within the department on a day-to-day basis.
- To coordinate reservation requirements and liaise with respective departments.
- Establish and maintain good relations with corporate accounts, travel agencies, airline and other booking sources.
- To constantly review room availability in relations to total room sold, opening and closing categories with a view to maximizing occupancy and revenues.
- To encourage the reservations staff to take every opportunity to “up sell” by quoting “top-down” rates with emphasis on value-added benefits.
- To track and establish pick up trends, occupancy history and market segment development to facilitate the forecasting process.
- Aggressively achieves productivity and cost efficiency.
