The opportunity

Project: This is a conceptualised villages project in the heart and outskirts of Doha.

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking technical system manager to join our established and growing team in Qatar.

Your responsibilities will include:

- leading and managing a project, or part thereof, under the supervision of your line manager.
- Overseeing the system delivery including but not limited to passive and active network, CCTV, IPTV, Access control, IP Telephony, HSIA and Network security, control systems and control rooms of the fan zone villages.
- Understanding and complying with the project execution plan and ensuring that all relevant parties you lead and supervise also understand these project objectives in your day to day management of the project.
- Being actively engaged in the health, safety, and well-being of the project at all stages.
- Planning, managing and monitoring the project, reporting any areas of concern in a timely manner, and recommending ways to resolve any issues as they arise.
- Ensuring project budgets are managed.
- Producing and managing accurate records for all project issues as required.
- Complying with Mace’s processes and procedures and delivering our services in line with Mace’s core values.
- Managing and being accountable for your scope of work on the project.
- Overseeing the delivery of IT and systems including training and familiarisation.
- Being aware of the project objectives in line with the project execution plan.
- Leading and supervising the relevant project team/parties to achieve these objections.
- Participating in planning and monitoring the progress of your project.
- Preparing necessary project plans and keeping them updated and relevant over the course of the project.
- Ensuring quality systems are in place and suitably managed and monitored
- Leading relevant meetings and site walks and ensuring these are suitably recorded
- Being actively involved in risk management.
- Communicating with all project parties/stakeholders and ensuring suitable records are maintained.

About you

You will have a relevant degree qualification with suitable technical qualifications relevant to the specific project/role and be a member of a professional body. You have good project planning skills & understanding - both time and budgets and good skills in systems, networks, technology, and technical project delivery. You have good knowledge of HSE rules and regulations and a proactive approach. You have good skills in communicating and presenting.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have experience delivering projects from start through to completion within a consultancy industry and be poised to expand your own horizons, those of our clients and of our ambitious people alike. You have a construction or cost consultancy project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
