**GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION**:

- Ensures exceptional dining experience by serving food and beverages according to established menu and presentation.
- Responsible for setting up tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins, replenishing condiments, and taking orders from the guests.
- Monitors food distribution and ensures orders are delivered to the correct recipients and that guidelines such as those for special diets are followed.
- Totals checks, presents it to the guests and accept payments.
- Demonstrates full knowledge of the menu, specialties and current promotions in the restaurant.
- Handles guests’ concerns professionally.

**POSITION DESCRIPTION IN DETAIL**:
**SPECIFIC TASKS**

1. Preparing restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.

2. Attending to guests upon entrance.

3. Presenting the restaurant menus and helping the guests select food and beverages.

4. Taking and serving orders and answering questions or making recommendations for other products.

5. Recommending desserts to our guests after they finish having their meals.

6. Maintaining complete knowledge of all our foods and beverages, outlets, services and hours of operation.

7. Collaborating with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff.

8. Constantly checking our guests to see if they need anything.

9. Training new and existing staff and managers.

10. Providing fast and exceptional services to our guests.

11. Dealing with complaints or problems with a positive attitude.

12. Pre-bussing the tables after our guest’s finish having their food.

13. Issuing bills and accepting payment from guests.

14. Completing side-works during and at the end of each shift.

15. Attending basic food safety and work safety training programs.

**OCCASIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Checking areas of the restaurant that needs to be cleaned and informing the housekeepers.
- Assist in cleaning and sanitation of dishes, utensils, equipment and facilities.

**LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensuring that the standards required by Law and by the Management are maintained at all times in all the areas specified above.
- Adhere to the company's policies and procedures.

**JOB SPECIFICATION**

1. High school diploma; food safety training will be considered a plus

2. Excellent customer service skills.

3. Ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure.

4. Excellent verbal communication skills.

5. Must be pleasant and professional looking.
