F&b Accountant

The F&B Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet, schedules, ledgers account and bank reconciliations. He will also perform monthly account analysis on F&B and other general ledger accounts and prepares adjusting journal entries. He will be responsible to coordinate internal and external audits of the financial records and prepare monthly schedules for Sales and settlements.
**Your duties will consist of but will not be limited to**:
1. Maintains F&B **Inventory detail records,** performs F&B reconciliation **reports.**
2. Prepare facility financial statements and **supporting schedules.**
3. Reconcile **general ledger** account activity, balances **Accounts Receivable **and **Accounts Payable **control accounts to detail aging.
4. Maintain cash balance records, **reconciles cash receipts** and **disbursements** to the general ledger.
5. Accounts for facility **financial transactions** and inputs event **journal entries.**
6. Assists A/R and A/P clerks with **coding of receipts** and disbursements into the **general ledger.**
7. Perform **monthly account analysis** on general ledger accounts and prepares adjusting journal entries.
8. Coordinate **internal and external audits** of the facility F&B financial records.
9. Prepare monthly schedules for Sales and Mixed Beverage **Tax remittances.**
10. Reconcile event **POS system reports** and contracted vendor settlement statements.
11. Audits **cash handling **procedures and performs **cash vault audits.**
12. Analyzes **credit card settlements** and chargebacks.
13. Reconcile monthly F&B inventory reports and **cost of sales calculations.**
14. Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and Finance Team in **analyzing margins**, **variances** and **cost analysis**.
15. Issue **cost reports** for review and approval.
16. Develop and maintain **internal control** and **effective accounting system** and **policies**for the setup.
17. Support the management in ensuring that intercompany **cost allocations** are in line with management agreements and transfer **pricing policy.**
18. Establish and maintain systems for **cost-sensitivity analysis** and early warning of **cost overruns.**
19. Work with the respective restaurants and outlets on **cost reduction initiatives**.
20. Must be able to **identify problems** or errors in documentation and **suggest improvements** or **solutions.**
21. Perform all **other duties and tasks **as assigned by the Head of the Department.

**Qualifications**:
- Must have a proven work experience in F&B/ Fine Dining Restaurant.
- Must be locally available in Qatar.
- Must have a valid QID and NOC.
