Training Manager

**About the role**

As the Training Manager - Retail, you will be responsible to manage a team to implement the Retail training and development plan whilst driving employee development, learning engagement and department performance according to agreed goals. You will manage high profile training projects in various areas, including leadership & management, sales & service, products, systems & processes and soft skills. You will also partner with stakeholders across Retail to analyse retail training opportunities and implement solutions that will support business objectives.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

- Manage and deliver the Retail operational training and development plan in line with Qatar Duty Free Retail and Training and Development objectives.
- Manage the development, design and creation of learning solutions that support in achieving Qatar Duty Free Retail functional objectives.
- Main point of contact for in-scope/defined learning queries that require specialist training & development knowledge and experience.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, SMEs and cross-functional teams ensuring identification of opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
- Partnership with line management, HRBP’s and support teams in the identification of business-critical learning gaps and addressing with relevant learning solutions.
- Identify and assess the training needs of Retail through job analysis, career paths, talent development with management team.
- Plan and deliver the annual L&D calendar for retail stores and back office teams with Retail management.
- Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance
- Develop relevant, pragmatic and value add learning initiatives, activities and interventions that engage and stretch staff.
- Create tools and strategies that support a best-in-class induction programme and behavior development of staff.
- Drive change, feeding into continuous improvement initiatives to build a learning culture which sets the standard for development in Qatar Duty Free Retail, ensuring staff are proficient in their roles.
- Support the development of our internal talent pipelines to ensure that they have the skills they need for the future.
- Proactively lead the developing and coaching of Retail line managers to achieve business and personal objectives.
- Devise and manage all aspects of the learning plan for new launches and store openings.
- Facilitate training programs to a high standard, using adult learning and learner focused techniques.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 7 years of job-related experience or
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience

- Retail or Travel Retail experience
- Learning and Development experience within Retail or Travel Retail
- Managerial skills - ability to manage other
- Coaching certification
- Luxury experience
