**Job Purpose**

A Head Chef is a highly skilled professional cook who oversees the operations of a restaurant or dining facility. They are responsible for the food that comes out of a kitchen, from conception to execution.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities
- Constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
- Approving and “polishing” dishes before they reach the customer

- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
- Arrange for repairs when necessary
- Remedy any problems or defects
- Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
- Oversee the work of subordinates
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as Head Chef
- Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
- Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
- Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Credentials in health and safety training
- Degree in Culinary science or related certificate

**All the procedures of QMS like**

1. All Policies and procedure understanding and commitment to implement. I e all QMS, HACCP, ISO 22000 procedures.

2. Corrective action plan for monthly FS Audit report.

3. Annual planning and monitoring of objectives

4. To do Business Risk Assessment plan.

5. Strategy to increase sales volume

6. Management review meetings participation, having a track of performances of respective location

7. Commitment and clear understanding on implementation of Qatar clean program.

8. In alignment with all Qatar municipality and QHSE procedure and implementation.

9. To conduct staff appraisal as per HR procedures

10. To coordinate with concerned department to fulfil staff needs i.e. RP renewal, health certificate, health card.

11. To monitor the Fire Drills, emergency procedures.
