Communication
Internal Communication:

- Vice President - Shipyard, Operations Manager, Production Manager Shipyard
- Project team, QHSSE Manager-Shipyard, Procurement Team-Shipyard

Purpose:

- To provide continuous update on project status and highlights any bottle necks. To ensure projects are on schedule by demanding the right priority and resources on ongoing projects
- To ensure that project team and production team are getting dedicated resources/material for successful completion of projects

External Communication:

- Suppliers
- Shipyard regulatory bodies
- Owner representatives/Class surveyors

Purpose:

- To ensure compliance with products received and to follow up on latest products
- To ensure compliance with Shipyard's rules and regulations
- To maintain good working relationship with owners' representatives and respond to their requirements in professional & timely manner

Occupational Health & Safety and Environment
Accountability:
Accountable to their line manager and direct reports so far as is reasonably practical to ensure:

- a safe place or work;
- safe systems of work;
- safe plant & equipment;
- provision of information and training.

Responsibility:
Responsible for:
His/her personal safety and that of all personnel under his/her authority, including others who may be affected by the company's activities. In particular to:

- Conduct risk assessments on activities within their department ensuring that the methods and safe systems of work are safe and implemented.
- Ensure all employees and contractors under their control are competent to undertake their duties.
- Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated.
- Promote good behaviors and set a personal example with regard to occupational

health and safety matters.
Authority:
Managers/Supervisors have the authority to stop work when health and safety is unsafe or being compromised.

Education & Professional Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical or any related field/equivalent experience that enables them to manage non-marine projects effectively
Professional Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years in Project Management

Computer Skills:
Language Skills:
Business fluent English; Arabic a plus
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:

- Strong Project management practices and techniques
- Strong knowledge of a combination of fabrication, production facilities, shutdown procedures, etc.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering
- Understanding of QHSSE regulation
- Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and steer the project management team to ensure projects completion on time within budget, within scope, and as per contract requirements.
- Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of projects.
- Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
- Manages key clients and prepares presentations and provide clear explanations/updates to the client and to the shipyard head on the project
- Discuss with Operations Manager, Production Manager, QHSSE Manager, and Procurement department to commit resources on the assigned project.
- Ensure that formal handover of the project documentation from the commercial section done well in advance.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Provide guidance to planner on project plans for Shipyard projects including information such as project objectives, analyze schedule information providing progress and forecasts to management; identify variances to project plan that may need immediate management attention.
- Run project status meetings, daily stand-ups, site-specific project meetings and retrospective meetings. Collecting and analyzing information and trends based on these meetings.
- Ensure that project team complies with technical requirement of scope being executed based on the agreed specification.
- Implement and actively enforce compliance to work processes to ensure the health and safety of employees and the protection of the environment
- Manage the project communication plan in order to assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel
- Analyze shipyard's objectives and initiatives in order to formulate strategies or suggest changes or improvements to current business plans, policies, and procedures
- Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as performances, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism
- Use and continually develop leadership skills
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
