Senior Structural Engineer

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the **design, review, and supervision** of all structural engineering activities across the project lifecycle.
- Ensure structural designs are **code-compliant**, safe, and cost-effective, adhering to **ACI, BS, Eurocode, and QCS** standards.
- Manage and review structural drawings, **calculations, BBS, shop drawings**, and construction documentation.
- Perform **advanced structural analysis** using software like ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and Robot.
- Supervise site works for **reinforced concrete, steel structures, post-tensioning, and precast elements**.
- Resolve complex structural issues and provide **technical guidance** to contractors and site engineers.
- Coordinate with **architectural, MEP, and geotechnical teams** for interdisciplinary integration.
- Review and approve **method statements, technical submittals, and materials** related to structural works.
- Attend and lead **technical meetings, inspections, and progress reviews** with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Develop **value engineering** proposals and contribute to cost and time optimization.
- Provide **mentorship** and supervision to junior engineers, modelers, and draftsmen.
- Conduct **forensic assessments** and propose retrofitting or strengthening solutions for structural failures.
- Support in **pre-tendering and post-award technical evaluation**, contract documents, and BOQ validation.
- Ensure strict compliance with **QA/QC procedures, safety regulations, and project specifications**.
- Deliver **technical reports, site instructions, and engineering recommendations** to stakeholders.
- Conduct **structural condition surveys** and life-cycle evaluations for existing assets.
- Handle liaison and approvals with **government bodies** (Ashghal, PWA, MMUP, etc.) as required.
- Maintain **quality, durability, and sustainability** in structural systems per project goals.

**Qualifications**
- **Bachelor’s Degree** in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- **UPDA/MMUP Engineer Registration**:

- Minimum **15 years of relevant experience**, including at least **5-7 years in the GCC** region.
- Deep knowledge of **international design codes** (ACI, BS, Eurocode, UBC, IBC) and **Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS)**.
- Proficiency in **structural design software**: ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, and Tekla Structures.
- Strong understanding of **construction methodologies**, site coordination, and structural sequencing.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to **lead teams and coordinate with stakeholders**.
- Proven experience with **design-build**, **infrastructure**, **high-rise**, or **industrial projects**.
- Familiarity with **project management tools** (Primavera P6, MS Project) is an advantage.
- Solid experience in **technical documentation**, report writing, and engineering correspondence.
- Commitment to **safety, quality, and sustainability** in structural engineering practices.

Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR15,000.00 per month
