Position Title: Senior Structural Engineer (Designer)

Location: Qatar

Department: Engineering/Design

Job Overview:

The Structural Engineer – Designer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design for buildings and infrastructure projects. The role includes preparing design calculations, drawings, and reports, and ensuring compliance with authority standards and international codes. The ideal candidate will have strong design software skills and experience within a consultant/design office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed structural design and analysis for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
  • Develop structural drawings, details, and specifications in coordination with CAD/BIM teams.
  • Ensure all designs meet project specifications, codes, and standards (ACI, BS, Eurocode, QCS).
  • Conduct structural analysis using software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, and SAP2000.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (Architectural, Civil, MEP) to ensure integrated designs.
  • Support senior engineers in design reviews, value engineering, and technical submissions.
  • Prepare design reports, calculation sheets, and drawings for tender and construction stages.
  • Review shop drawings and respond to technical queries when required.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure design quality under company QA/QC procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in structural design within a consultancy/design firm.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, Revit Structure).
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design principles.
  • Familiarity with local authority requirements and international design codes.
  • Good coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must be available to join immediately.
  • MME/UPDA certification (Grade A or B) is an advantage for Qatar-based positions
