Sr. Lead Estimator

The ideal individual will have experience of tendering fit out & refurbishment projects across multiple sectors and have experience of both one stage and two stage tenders. You have to prepare, complete and deliver accurate tender offers that identify the most competitive market price for a particular project to enable 1000 Walls Interior and Fit-out to have a high chance of securing new work that achieves tender profit targets. Be able to deliver multiple tenders as workload dictates and lead the tender team on larger projects. To be innovative, bringing new ideas so that 1000 Walls Interior and Fit-out’s competitive edge is maintained.

Work with the rest of the team to ensure that information is shared and the tender represents what is described in the proposal documents. Maintain good relations with the materiel supply chain to ensure that they continue to service us with quality competitive tenders including providing clear honest feedback, whether or not the project is successfully secured. Develop good relations with external customers so that 1000 Walls become the contractor of choice, including providing cost advice and market information. Develop good relations with internal stakeholders so that their business requirements are supported. Assist with trainee and assistant estimator development.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Establish a close relationship the estimating team, winning work team, legal team and delivery team members to ensure smooth running of the systems.
- Responsible for overseeing permanent or temporary more junior members of staff
Supporting Estimating Director/Manager with ad-hoc tasks
- Comply with Estimating Best Practice processes
- Responsible for receipt of accurate records of tender and contract documents (assisted by document controller)
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities to allow tenderers to price works accurately
- Compile tender comparisons to ensure only complete sub-contract bids are considered
- Present tender at settlement meeting and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of best winning approach to be taken
- Offer advice on risks, value engineering options and other work winning strategies
- Ensure all risks are understood and evaluated so that they are considered for inclusion in the tender presented at the settlement
- Handover tenders that are won to the project team and maintain contact to ensure all knowledge is successfully transferred
- Work closely with the supply chain to ensure they continue to provide competitive tenders, ensure delivery teams are aware of those sub-contractors that have contributed to ensure they are given a fair opportunity to secure work with ISG when tender is successful and give honest, timely feedback when a tender is lost
- Contribute to database of tenders for historical data and average rates
- Provide cost planning and other cost advice both internally and to consultants if required
Assist with the training and development of Trainee and Assistant Estimators
- Develop relationships with consultants and other customers

**Skills and Experience**:

- At Least 8 year of experience (Middle East preferably) with hands-on involvement in commercial & Quantity Surveying practices on large interior fit out projects
- Bachelor or higher Degree in Quantity Surveying / Bachelor in Civil Engineering
- Able to multi task, in particular managing and delivering multiple tenders
- Accurate measurement and billing of tender information
- Able to identify and evaluate risks
- Proven planning and process management skills
- Knowledge of different procurement routes, particularly design and build
- A confident professional manner
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Methodical approach to duties
- Advanced knowledge of AUTO CAD and MS Office
- CCS (Candy) is highly preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Driving License is an added advantage
- Good organisation skills
