We are looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Specialist to support offshore commissioning activities on an oil and gas project. The role is focused on ensuring all electrical systems are mechanically complete, tested, energized, and safely handed over in compliance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable international standards. Job Responsibilities Support offshore commissioning activities for electrical systems including: Power distribution systems (LV & HV), Generators and motors, Switchgear and MCCs, Lighting, earthing, and UPS systemsVerify mechanical completion and system completion status to ensure readiness for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handoverReview, manage, and close electrical punch lists in coordination with construction and QA/QC teamsCoordinate with construction, QA/QC, instrumentation, telecom, and commissioning teams to ensure proper work sequencing and interface managementWitness and support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including: Insulation resistance testing, Continuity and loop checks, Functional testing, Energization activitiesEnsure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, vendor documentation, and applicable codes and standardsSupport preparation, review, and completion of commissioning dossiers, test records, and handover documentationParticipate in offshore safety meetings, toolbox talks, and commissioning readiness reviewsReport commissioning progress, risks, and technical issues to the Commissioning Lead and Project Management TeamEnsure strict adherence to offshore HSE requirements and safe work practicesKey Qualifications Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalentMinimum 10 years of experience in offshore oil and gas projectsStrong hands-on experience in electrical installation and commissioning activitiesProven experience with: LV & HV systems, Generators and motors, Switchgear and UPS systems, Lighting and earthing systemsGood understanding of offshore commissioning processes and mechanical completion systemsAbility to work offshore on a rotational basisStrong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skillsGood knowledge of offshore HSE regulations and practicesPrevious role as an Electrical Commissioning Specialist/Engineer on EPC offshore projects (Preferred)Experience working on offshore platforms, jackets, modules, and topsides (Preferred)Familiarity with commissioning databases and handover systems (Preferred)VERTICAL ENGINEERING
