Job summary/objective

  • Manage and analyze financial records for the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee the general ledger, including performing monthly and annual closings.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting records.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Assist with the creation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
  • Monitor financial transactions to identify potential errors or fraud.

Skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as an accountant or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
