Job Title: Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with company policies and Qatar regulations.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, hands-on experience in bookkeeping, and the ability to work independently while supporting management with timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts (AP, AR, GL)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Manage invoices, payments, receipts, and petty cash
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
  • Handle payroll processing and staff expense claims
  • Ensure compliance with Qatar tax, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors and consultants
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records
  • Support management with financial analysis and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience (Qatar experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and Qatar financial regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally)
  • Good command of MS Excel and MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

  • Experience in construction, trading, or service industries
  • Knowledge of VAT compliance and reporting (if applicable)
