About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Staff to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate should have experience in general maintenance and repair work within a hotel or residential environment. The role involves ensuring that all equipment, facilities, and utilities are functioning properly to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and properly maintained.
  • Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption to guests during repair works.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and report major issues to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
  • Follow hotel safety policies and comply with Qatar Municipality and company regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or technical/vocational certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance or engineering, with at least 1 year in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if required.
