Position Title: Structural Engineer (Design)

Department: Engineering/Design

Job Overview:

The Structural Engineer – Design will be responsible for performing structural analysis, preparing detailed designs, and developing engineering documentation for building and infrastructure projects. This role is purely design-focused within a consultancy environment, ensuring compliance with Qatar authorities and international design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and detailed design of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, calculation sheets, technical specifications, and reports.
  • Use industry-standard software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, Robot, Revit Structure.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil, MEP, and geotechnical teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Ensure all designs comply with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), local authority requirements (e.g., Ashghal, MMUP), and international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes).
  • Review and verify shop drawings and material submittals when required.
  • Support in preparing tender documents, design basis reports, and technical presentations.
  • Conduct design checks, QA/QC reviews, and ensure accuracy of drawings prepared by CAD/BIM teams.
  • Respond to technical queries from internal teams, clients, and authorities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in structural design within a consultancy/design firm.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, Revit Structure).
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design principles.
  • Familiarity with local authority requirements and international design codes.
  • Good coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must be available to join immediately.
