Position Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing all financial transactions, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.

  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations (e.g., Dhareeba filing in Qatar).
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance and highlight variances.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Manage payroll accounting and related reconciliations.
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing and payments.
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
  • Advanced MS Excel and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in F&B, retail, or hospitality industries.
  • Familiarity with Qatar tax laws and Dhareeba system.
  • Experience preparing management reports for decision-making.
