Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/ mechanical/ chemical, Industrial or Fire & Safety Engineering from a reputed university
  • Not less than 12 years of experience in fire & safety field with at least 5 years in Utilities (power & water) sector.
  • Fluent in English correspondence. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
  • Either CMIOSH (Chartered Member) or GradIOSH (Graduate Member) having NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Also, should have following certification trainings.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Emergency Response & Preparedness from recognized institute
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training
  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and standards related to electricity and water transmission and distribution, construction including OSHA, BS, and other pertinent guidelines.
  • Risk Assessment: Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with utilities operations, particularly in high-voltage environments and water distribution systems.
  • Incident Investigation: Proficiency in investigating safety incidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to ensure that all operations comply with local and international fire and safety regulations.
  • Emergency Response: Skills in developing and implementing emergency response plans, including coordination with local emergency services and conducting regular drills and training.
