About the Role

Qatar Airways is pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity for Qatari Nationals to join our Internal Audit team. As the Senior Internal Auditor, the role will be responsible in supporting the planning and execution of various financial, operational, compliance audits, investigations and consulting engagements. This role will be instrumental in helping the organization to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities of the role are:

• Support the planning, scoping and execution of risk based internal audits in accordance with the approved audit plan.
• Participate or lead the execution of audit projects for different business processes.
• Perform special request assignments and/or investigations.
• Develop risk control matrix, audit programs and testing procedures for the assigned audits.
• Prepare work papers in accordance with IA procedures / standards and prepare audit reports.
• Perform follow up testing on issued recommendations.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Internal Audit Team who can recognize themselves in the points below.

• Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level.
• Minimum of 5 years of audit experience, preferably in airline, international corporations or consulting industries.
• Experience in Internal / External Audit or operational areas of business.
• Professional certifications like CA/ACCA/CIA/CFE/CISA would be an advantage.
• Strong Data Analytical Skills (with knowledge of tools like Tableau, PowerBi etc.) is mandatory.
• Strong problem solving and methodical capabilities are required with decision making skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Strong business acumen with excellent persuasion and presentation skills.
• Self-starter capable of taking initiatives and working with minimal direction.
• Curious mindset and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work under pressure and towards challenging deadlines.
• Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
