Creative Product Designer, Luxury Goods

We are looking for a visionary and highly skilled Creative Product Designer to join our team, dedicated to crafting Italian luxury goods. This key role will involve designing a diverse and sophisticated product range from bespoke pieces such as swords, porcelain cups, and custom trunks, to refined lifestyle accessories like cigar boxes, scarves, jackets, leather phone covers, leather travel trolleys and other premium leather goods.

The successful candidate will be the primary creative force, translating our brand's heritage, passion for Italian craftsmanship, and modern aesthetic into physical products. You must demonstrate mastery over disparate materials from fine leather and textiles to metals, ceramics, and structural wood while ensuring every product delivers an unparalleled experience in luxury and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Bespoke Design & Innovation
  — Lead the end-to-end design process for our most complex and signature items, especially luxury trunks, requiring deep understanding of carpentry, locking mechanisms, bespoke interiors, and heavy-duty structural design.
• Multi-Category Portfolio Management
  — Conceptualize, design, and detail products across all assigned categories, ensuring a cohesive, premium design language is consistently applied across all sizes and materials:

-Hard Goods / Collectibles (e.g., swords, porcelain cups, high-end cigar boxes)

-Luggage / Storage (e.g., luxury trunks, humidors)

-Fashion Accessories (e.g., scarves, jackets, iPhone covers, other leather accessories)

• Aesthetics & Brand DNA
  — Infuse every design with the core elements of Italian luxury, craftsmanship, and timeless style. Ensure all products adhere to exacting quality standards and reflect our brand's heritage and identity.
• Material & Manufacturing Mastery
  — Select, test, and specify premium materials (exotic woods, custom hardware, high-grade fabrics, fine leathers) appropriate for both structural and soft-goods. Serve as the primary technical liaison with specialized Italian artisans and manufacturers.
• Technical Documentation
  — Produce precise and detailed technical specifications, 3D models, cut-plans, and 2D blueprints needed for accurate manufacturing — particularly important for complex structures such as trunks and custom cigar boxes.
• Sampling & Refinement
  — Direct the sampling and prototyping process; provide clear and timely feedback on prototypes to refine structure, fit, finishing, and overall quality until production-ready perfection is achieved.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience:
  Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable product design experience, with significant time spent in the
  luxury goods, bespoke furniture, or high-end luggage/trunk
  sector.
• Portfolio:
  An exceptional portfolio showcasing complexity, material diversity, and high aesthetic value across both soft goods (textiles/apparel) and hard goods (structural design/woodwork/metalwork).
• Technical Tools:
  Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (e.g.,
  SolidWorks, Rhino
  ), rendering software (e.g.,
  Keyshot
  ), and the
  Adobe Creative Suite
  .
• Material Science & Construction:
  Expert knowledge of various construction methods for wood, metal fabrication, leather working, and fine garment manufacturing. Experience specifying high-end hardware and locking systems is critical.
• Creative & Strategic Mindset:
  Ability to balance bold, original design concepts with technical feasibility and commercial strategy.
• Communication:
  Fluent in technical and creative design language, capable of clearly presenting and defending design decisions to executive leadership and working collaboratively with specialized craftspeople.
