• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of all process units in the sewage treatment plant (inlet works, aeration, clarification, disinfection, sludge handling, etc.).
• Lead a team of operators and shift staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and operational standards.
• Monitor plant performance through SCADA systems, field inspections, and lab reports.
• Adjust plant operations as needed to maintain compliance with environmental regulations and effluent quality standards.
• Investigate operational issues or process deviations and take corrective actions promptly.
• Prepare and maintain accurate operational records, shift reports, and performance data.
• Ensure all equipment and systems are operating safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with maintenance, instrumentation, and laboratory teams for inspections, shutdowns, and troubleshooting.
• Train and mentor operations staff to ensure skill development and competency.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and promote a strong safety culture among team members.
• Support in plant audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting as required.
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sewage or wastewater treatment plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of sewage treatment processes (biological, chemical, mechanical).
Familiarity with SCADA/PLC systems and control room operations.
Understanding of process optimization and troubleshooting techniques.
