• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT procurement or a similar role.• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is preferred• Experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in IT procurement.• Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.• Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.• Strong negotiation and communication skills.• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract management, and supply chain process• Excellent organizational and time management skills.• Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions.• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.• Knowledge of IT equipment, software, and services.• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems.• Knowledge of contract management and vendor relationship management.• In-depth knowledge of IT procurement processes and best practices.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:• The IT Procurement Specialist is responsible for analysing the current procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing enhanced effective procurement processes to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role involves managing and overseeing the procurement of IT equipment, software, and services for QatarEnergy, working closely with ICT teams and internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that the procured IT resources meet the organization's needs.• Analyze current procurement processes and identify areas for improvement.• Work closely with internal departments and stakeholders to assess procurementprocess.• Enhance current procurement processes to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness.• Develop and implement enhanced procurement processes.• Analyze the IT needs of the organization and identify potential vendors and suppliers.• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.• Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and managingany amendments or renewals.• Ensure that procured items are delivered on time and meet the specified qualitystandards.• Maintain and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.• Manage inventory of IT resources and ensure they are updated as necessary.• Collaborate with ICT teams to ensure software and hardware needs are met.• Maintain records of purchases, contracts, and invoices.• Stay current with the latest IT trends and advancements to make informed purchasingdecisions.• Handle any issues or problems that arise with orders or suppliers.• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.• Ensure that the procurement process runs smoothly and efficiently, ultimatelycontributing to the success of the organization.Qualification:• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering and or Business degree, or diploma with relevant courses in supply chain and procurement.BH-MS1031 Bounty Hunter World
