JOBSUMMARY

Functions as the propertys strategic financialbusiness leader. The position champions develops and implementspropertywide strategies that deliver products and services to meetor exceed the needs and expectations of the brands target customerand property employees. The position provides the financialexpertise to enable the successful implementation of the brandservice strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the returnon investment. In addition creates and executes a business planthat is aligned with the property and brands business strategy andfocuses on the execution of financial activities and the deliveryof desirable financial results.

Education andExperience

  • 4year bachelorsdegree in Finance and Accounting or related major; 3 yearsexperience in the finance and accounting or related professionalarea.

OR

  • Mastersdegree in Finance and Accounting or related major; 1 yearexperience in the finance and accounting or related professionalarea.

CORE WORKACTIVITIES

Engaging in Strategic Planning andDecision Making

  • Developsmeans to improve profit including estimating cost and benefitexploring new business opportunitiesetc.
  • Analyzes informationforecasts sales against expenses and creates annual budgetplans.
  • Compilesinformation analyzes and monitors actual sales against projectedsales.
  • Analyzesdifferences between actual budget wages and forecasted wages formore efficient budgetplanning.
  • Identifies theunderlying principles reasons or facts of information by breakingdown information or data into separateparts.
  • Thinks creativelyand practically to develop execute and implement new businessplans
  • Creates the annualoperating budget for theproperty.
  • Providesanalytical support during budget reviews to identify cost savingand productivity opportunities for propertymanagers.
  • Implements asystem of appropriate controls to manage businessrisks.
  • Ensures a strongaccounting and operational control environment to safeguard assetsimprove operations andprofitability.
  • Analyzesfinancial data and markettrends.
  • Leads thedevelopment and implementation of a comprehensive annual businessplan which is aligned with the companys and brands strategicdirection.
  • Provides ongoing analytical support by monitoring the operating departmentsactual and projectedsales.
  • Produces accurateforecasts that enable operations to react to changes in thebusiness.

  • Attendsmeetings and communicating with the owners understanding thepriorities and strategicfocus.

  • Advises the GM andexecutive committee on existing and evolving operating/financialissues.
  • Communicatesfinancial concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy tounderstand and drives desiredbehaviors.
  • Demonstrates anunderstanding of cash flow and ownerpriorities.
  • Managescommunication with owners in an effectivemanner.
  • Manages propertyworking capital and cash flow in accordance with brand standardoperating procedures and ownerrequirements.
  • Facilitatescritique meetings to review information with managementteam.

Developing and Maintaining FinanceGoals

  • Ensures Profits andLosses are documentedaccurately.
  • Monitors alltaxes that apply ensuring that taxes are current collected and/oraccrued.
  • Submits reportsin a timely manner ensuring deliverydeadlines.
  • Develops andsupports achievement of performance goals budget goals team goalsetc.
  • Improves profitgrowth in operatingdepartments.
  • Reviews auditissues to ensureaccuracy.
  • Monitor thepurchasing process asapplicable.

Managing Projects andPolicies

  • Generates andprovides accurate and timely results in the form of reportspresentationsetc.
  • Reconciles balancesheet to ensure account balances are supported by appropriatedocumentation in accordance with standard operatingprocedures.
  • Ensures thatthe P&L is accurate (e.g. costs are properly matched torevenue costs are recorded in the properaccounts).
  • Ensurescompliance with management contract and reportingrequirements.

Managing and Conducting Human ResourceActivities

  • Ensures teammembers are crosstrained to support successful dailyoperations.
