The Phantom Works Systems Engineering andIntegration Team (SEIT) is seeking an Experienced Systems Engineerto support development efforts on one of multiple proprietaryprograms. The Experienced Systems Engineer applies aninterdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, developand verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and systemsolutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define andcoordinate system performance requirements, integrate technicalparameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional andprogram interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize totalsystem of systems and/or system architecture such as affordability,safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systemsintegration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, systemsecurity, regulatory, certification, product assurance and otherspecialties quality factors into a preferred configuration toensure mission success. Develops the planning, organization,implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes,tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technologyreadiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technicalissues. Supports and guides system architects, engineering SMEs andother stakeholders in implementing, developing and managing theModel Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach for the program, incoordination with the lead Systems Engineer and Systems Engineeringteam. The ability to work in a collaborative team environmenton-site and across engineering disciplines will be imperative tothis role. The selected individual will work in a fast paced,innovative environment where excellent technical, organizational,leadership, written and verbal communications skills areessential.

PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional engineeringteams in developing systems to meet project/program commitments,including support of deliveries and customerreviews
  • Leverage Systems Engineering experienceto implement, maintain, and refine the systems engineeringapproach
  • Support the program in implementingMBSE as part of digital engineering to meet customerexpectations
  • Support planning and execution ofprogram configuration and data managementprocesses
  • Execute Systems Engineering effortssuch as requirements decomposition, system architecture,environments analysis, specification development, trade studies,program planning, interfaces management, risk management,certification planning & execution, verification &test planning, and overall integration
  • Supportthe integration of systems engineering, particularly MBSE, into theDigital Engineering Ecosystem to establish digital models as anintegral part of the technicalbaseline.
