JOB OBJECTIVE


Responsible to generate & grow new pump business opportunities, grow after-market business opportunities, plan & successfully execute appropriate business initiatives in collaboration with respective principals', resulting in incremental business growth annually.


RESPONSIBILITIES


1) Manage outdoor sales engineering activities for esteemed agencies in the Oil & Gas sector, focusing on upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, particularly in API 610 Centrifugal pumps and compressors (API, ASME, ISO standards).

2) Set targets for pump and spare parts sales, collaborate closely with OEMs to provide technical solutions, and aim to expand business within the Oil & Gas and chemical industries.

4) Proficiency in commercial negotiation is crucial.

5) Prioritize face-to-face interactions with customers to build robust business relationships and drive growth. Develop SMART objectives and engage with stakeholders across customer organizations (HQ, plant sites, engineering consultants, EPCs).

6) Generate and assess inquiries, prepare, and follow up on quotations, actively participate in tender submissions, and ensure successful order closures.

7) Review and approve quotes, participate in tender submissions, and manage the quotation process effectively.

8) Handle the preparation, review, and processing of purchase orders through SAP upon receiving order confirmations from customers.

9) Oversee order fulfillment processes, including coordinating logistics and shipment activities.

10) Conduct negotiations with sub-suppliers or vendors involved in project/product sales.

11) Prepare reports for principals on monthly sales and invoicing and submit booking forecast sales reports as per management requirements.

12) Monitor all greenfield and brownfield projects in Qatar, track EPC project awards, and collaborate with EPIC contractors in the local market and OEMs for international EPC awards.

13) Demonstrate teamwork and effective product presentation skills and strive to provide solutions to customers' needs.

14) Continuously seek to add new agencies through registrations from end users and maintain updated agency vendor lists.

15) Exhibit proficiency in presentation and negotiation skills.

16) Assist in the preparation of catalogues and demonstrate awareness of digital marketing strategies.

17) Possess proficiency in MS Office and SAP.

  • Have the authority to halt work in unsafe conditions.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from a reputable university.
  • Preferred: Postgraduate degree such as MBA or ME would be beneficial.

Experience:

  • Essential: Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar midlevel role within the Oil & Gas Industry or Trading.
  • Experience in Qatar is advantageous, along with holding a Qatar driving license.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a senior Sales Engineer or managerial position within an EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning) company setting, particularly in Sales within the Oil & Gas sector, Shutdown/Building Construction, and Manpower Supply.

Language Proficiency:

  • Required: Proficiency in English.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Arabic would be an added advantage.
