JobSummary andPurpose

  • TheEmployee Relations Officer has responsibility and accountabilityfor all Employee Relations activity within QFAB. Which involvesproviding Employee Relations workforce intelligence troubleshootingrisk operating as a change actor to assist with realigningresponsibilities in the Company and promoting bestpractice.
  • Providesupport to the Human Resources Manager in the operational andadministrative tasks to resolve all matters related to EmployeeRelations in QFAB by assisting in developing and implementingeffective policies and procedures related to Employee Relations. Aswell as overseeing personnel administration tasks by providingguidance in the preparation and processing of personnel actionsthroughout the entire employment period from hiring to theconclusion of service. Additionally actively participate in andcoordinate with the IT department to develop and effectivelyutilize HRrelated systems.

GenericAccountabilities:

  • Leadsand guides the Employee Relations Team in their daytodayoperations.
  • Collaboratewith HR Manager and propose and suggest employee relationsstrategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance on policyinterpretation to Management and employees wheneverrequired.
  • Manage andresolve employee relations issues and disciplinary cases.
  • Conduct thorough investigations intoemployee complaints ensuring fair and impartialresolutions.
  • Act as a keyliaison between employees and management to facilitate transparentcommunication.
  • Leadnegotiations and settlements when necessary emphasizing positiveemployee relations.
  • Assistand support HR Manager in addressing legal issues related toemployee relations.
  • Stayabreast of changes in employment laws and regulations ensuringorganizational practices remain compliant.
  • Manage all employment contracts bymonitoring company payroll reviewing and validating eligibleallowance and benefits while ensuring compliance with theapplicable laws and requirements.
  • Manage all administrativecirculars and decisions (e.g. early retirement program promotionemployee transfer penalties imposed on employees employee loans).
  • Manage communication withemployees with regards to their action letters (i.e. promotionssalary adjustments disciplinary actionsetc.).
  • Oversee employees data and recordsand ensure their confidentiality.
  • Manage HRMSs master dataand ensure its up to date and accurate.
  • Review and validate new joinerssalary and applicable allowance and benefits.
  • Review and validate payments toemployees i.e. reimbursements to ensure their compliance withpertaining policies/contract.
  • Provide escalation support withsuggestions to ensure all queries related to employees areaddressed in a prompt manner.

EmployeeRelations WorkforceData:

  • To providecomprehensive Employee Relations workforce data reports which showthe performance of the employees in terms of sickness turnoverstaff costs dismissals suspensions and grievances.
  • To use this data to help the HRManager Leads formulate leadership and line management developmentprograms.
  • To use his/herEmployee Relations expertise and findings from different datasources to feed into the departments annual action plan in terms ofaddressing and mitigating risk.

StrengtheningEngagement andLearning

  • Towork with the Learning and Development Specialist to helpcoordinate a rigorous management by objectives culture throughannual Appraisal (PMS) and subsequent supervisionpractice.

QualityHealth Safety Environment & Security (QHSES):

  • Adhere to allrelevant QHSES policies procedures instructions and controls sothat QFAB provides a safe world Class secure and environmentallyresponsible service to customers the public and its ownpeople.

Others:

Carryout any other duties as directed by the HRManager.

QualificationsExperience andSkills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorsdegree in business administration Human Resources or any otherrelated filed.
  • HRProfessional Certification would bepreferred.

Experience:

  • 57 years of related experience of which a minimum of 35 years shouldbe in a similar position /responsibility
  • Previousexperience in Oil & Gas industry and regional experience ispreferred
  • Bilingual is anadvantage.
