About the role

We are currently recruiting for Real-Time Allocation Officer for Ground Services -Hub Support and Strategy in Doha


The role is responsible for producing an accurate, efficient and on-time resource allocation plan to meet 24/07 real-time operational demand of Ground Services Division, based on the agreed engagement standards.

In this role, you will be the focal point of contact in terms of staff deployment and real-time resource optimization during operation as per the set guidelines and processes.

You will act independently in the event of real time operational disruptions and emergencies and provide adequate support to the management in terms of resource allocation.


Key accountabilities include:

  • Responsible for an effective real time resource allocation planning for various work areas within HIA premises e.g. Checkin, Boarding, Transfers, etc as per grade and designation in line with publish rosters.
  • Responsible for delivering a constructive resource allocation planning considering adequate staffing levels, qualification, skills, timings, and velocity of travel time between different allocations across HIA using the Real Time Resource Management System.
  • Accommodates adhoc requirements in coordination with operational leaders and plan ahead of the operational peaks to avoid any unattended tasks during real time operation in order to achieve a seamless operations handling.
  • Effectively communicates the real time resource allocation plan to each staff through proper channels i.e. Resource Management System Staff Communicator solution in a timely manner in order for staff to be prepared and be present at the assigned allocation on time.
  • Provides recommendation to maximize resource allocation through multiple methods for various areas of operations which is within scope of the Real Time Resource Management System for optimum utilization of available resources.
  • Anticipates potential risks of unassigned tasks and address to immediate superior for corrective action to mitigate irregularities.
  • Complies with local regulations and HR working hours guidelines, in the event of allocating extended duty hours beyond the rostered shift/s and such an adhoc changes to be communicated thoroughly with the respective stakeholders e.g. Line Managers, Rostering and Welfare/ admin support.
  • Works closely with rostering and manpower planning team to ensure efficient resource allocation is delivered.
  • Mentors and trains colleagues and new team members to drive an efficient and collaborative work culture.

Qualifications:

About you

  • High School Qualification/ Vocational Qualification/ Diploma or equivalent or a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4years of jobrelated experience
  • Previous experience and exposure to airport ground services operations, or similar organization with operations based on workforce allocation planning is required.
  • Advanced skills in MS Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Previous Experience with INFORM Ground Star Real-Time Module and/or similar industry standard systems.
  • Previous experience in rostering and resource planning is preferred.
  • Excellent command of English language both oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in resource allocation, roster planning and optimization of staff coverage.
  • Proven and string time management and organizational skills with the ability to maintain attention to details when working under pressure.
  • Excellent internal personal and relationship building skills.
