Restaurant Manager

One of our esteemed clients, a premier F&B establishment in Qatar, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding impeccable service standards, ensuring utmost customer satisfaction, managing staffing requirements, addressing operational needs, and achieving financial targets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures that the staff deliver the brand promise and always provide exceptional guest service.
  2. Ensures that the staff provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments.
  3. Observes employee-guest interactions and coaches staff in guest service skills as necessary.
  4. Ensures that all guest and internal customer complaints and enquiries are handled in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  5. Ensures that the outlet is operated in line with goals to maximize profitability while delivering on the brand promise.
  6. Assists the Director of F&B Operations in preparing the Annual Business Plan and budget for the outlet.
  7. Supports the Director of F&B Operations in analyzing outlet business performance to facilitate accurate and meaningful forecasting.
  8. Seizes marketing and promotional opportunities to raise awareness and drive outlet revenues.
  9. Proactively supports the Director of F&B Operations and Client's Head of Marketing & Communications to implement the Annual Marketing Plan for F&B operations.
  10. Manages the outlet, pursuing excellence and quality in all aspects of the operation.
  11. Coordinates proactively and collaboratively with consultant-partner organizations to implement restaurant concept and ensure full delivery of brand promise.
  12. Ensures that the outlet and surrounding area is always kept clean and organized.
  13. Oversees the preparation and implementation of outlet manpower rosters to effectively meet operational needs.
  14. Monitors outlet operations, especially during peak business periods, making resourcing adjustments where necessary.
  15. Supports banqueting and other activities as assigned by the Director of F&B Operations.
  16. Performs any other duties assigned by the Director of F&B Operations as necessary.
  17. Encourages and motivates employees, building trust, respect, and cooperation within the team.
  18. Ensures that a positive and harmonious work environment is maintained within the operation.
  19. Reviews and approves all HR-related issues ranging from staff personal issues (leaves, loan approvals) to manpower planning.
  20. Supports the Director of F&B Operations with the recruitment, selection, and orientation of outlet staff.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in GCC countries within fine-dining establishments.
  2. Track record of working in Michelin-starred restaurants or top dining destinations in the GCC region.
  3. Type of hire: Overseas candidates or those from the GCC region.
  4. Fluency in French is preferred, although candidates from diverse nationalities are welcome.
  5. Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar managerial role.
  6. Demonstrated stability in career progression and a willingness to relocate to Qatar.
  7. Strong background in catering to the preferences and special requests of GCC clients.
  8. Start date: Mid-August to early September 2024, considering notice periods.
  9. Salary: QAR 19,000/-, with additional benefits including a fully furnished apartment, 28 annual leave days, 3 casual leave days, 8 public holidays, private medical insurance (extendable to family members if married), and yearly airplane ticket encashment to home country and return.
  10. Education & Certification Required: Degree in hospitality or relevant certification preferred.
