Looking for Sales Manager (Hospitality sector).
Role Objective
Under the guidance of the CEO, the Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales department of the company. This involves setting the overall strategy and objectives for the sales department in conjunction with the fitness director and CEO, and executing that strategy in order to achieve those objectives.
Once the strategy and objectives for the sales department are set, the Sales Manager will be responsible for recruitment within the department, the setting of brand standards, the implementation of policies and procedures, and the introduction of a training and development program designed to achieve the objectives of the department in line with the agreed strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the sales department of the company as a whole.
- Responsible for setting the overall strategy and objectives for the sales department in conjunction with the CEO.
- Responsible for the execution of the agreed-upon strategy to achieve the agreed-upon objectives.
- Responsible for recruitment within the department, including the screening of applications, conducting interviews, providing feedback after interviews, and recommending candidates for roles that fit within the organizational structure.
- Responsible for the setting and upholding of brand standards within the sales department.
- Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures within the sales department.
- Responsible for the delivery of training and development within the sales department.
- Responsible for the performance of the sales department in general. Identifying and setting goals, KPIs, and targets for the department that motivate team members and set a standard for excellence within the department where expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
- Responsible for the growth and development of the department by identifying opportunities for growth and development within the market, and proposing solutions that capitalize upon those opportunities.
- Responsible for lead generation, conducting facility tours, and closing sales (public and corporate) as required to assist the department with the achievement of their objectives.
- Responsible for the scheduling of staff within the sales department, including Membership Sales and Front of House, to ensure there is adequate staffing in place to meet the demands of the business, deliver the best service possible to customers, and maximize revenue generation.
- Responsible for coordinating with other departments including Marketing, Fitness, Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and Facility Management to ensure customer and staff satisfaction is maximized and issues are identified, reported, and addressed at the earliest opportunity.
- Responsible for assisting other departments including Marketing, Fitness, Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and Facility Management when required to maintain or improve operations within the company, or to aid in the achievement of the company's organizational objectives overall.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality/Business/Management.
- Recognized diploma/certification in Sales.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience within a sales environment, of which a minimum of 3-4 years should be in a supervisory/management role.
- Experience within hospitality, fitness, and/or a membership sales environment is beneficial.
- Experience in GCC/Qatar is preferable.
- Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
