Job Purpose:

The role holder will be at the forefront of innovation, responsible for driving the entire lifecycle of digital initiatives, from conception to realization. The role holder will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the business to understand the intricacies of operational challenges. Primary focus will be on identifying emerging technologies and cutting-edge processes and orchestrating their seamless integration into our business operations.

The role holder will serve as the linchpin between conceptualizing transformative ideas and executing practical solutions. The objective is not only to keep a vigilant eye on the technological landscape but also to align these advancements with the organizational goals. The key contribution is on the development and implementation of innovative strategies that drive our digital transformation agenda forward.

This position demands a visionary mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As the Head of the Digital Implementation and Innovation Section, the role holder will be instrumental in shaping and executing our digital strategy, ensuring that each digital engagement is finely tuned to meet our business objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure to interpret the digital strategy and to identify innovative solutions supporting strategy implementation.
  • Leverage digitization inputs from across QAFCO (as part of ideation) and strategize potential initiatives.
  • Manage and evaluate portfolio/pipeline of innovative ideas collected from across the company.
  • Work closely with relevant business stakeholders to understand the operational challenges or threats.
  • Identify/ develop a potential high-level solution for the business challenge or threat and prioritize the initiatives.
  • Support implementation of innovation events bringing relevant QAFCO stakeholders and external experts and partners together to share examples of excellence and innovative ideas (PoC/ MVP/ Implementation at scale).
  • Lead one or more teams to build & implement digital products by working closely with business & external partners.
  • Develop the project plan for each engagement, track, monitor, and report the implementation progress across the initiatives.
  • Monitor the implementation of the digital strategy and roadmap, while ensuring its integration with the enterprise strategic planning process, and the resulting business strategy and plans in addition to close alignment with the Information Technology and Cybersecurity.
  • Identify risks, issues, and challenges for the initiatives and identify the mitigation measures and seek decisions from the governing committee as and when required.
  • Enhance the implementation experience for the business stakeholders through continuous improvement measures.
  • Lead the ideation program to identify digital opportunities that will solve business problems by working with business divisions' users and IT to understand business challenges and needs while ensures their active participation on the program following design thinking methodology.
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety, compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years direct and relevant experience.
  • Certifications in project management professional (PMP) or design thinking would be added as an advantage.
