Section Head of Strategy

Oversee and manage the Strategy function within the President's office. The Strategy section head assists in the planning process of the President's office and coordinates with SBUs to facilitate the business plans in order to achieve the vision and mission of the organization. Primary responsibilities for the Section Head of Strategy include conducting the strategic planning process, developing and monitoring the strategic scorecard, and analyzing the organization's strategic performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in developing and managing the strategic planning framework for the organization.
  2. Coordinate and facilitate executive team efforts to determine strategic goals and objectives.
  3. Coordinate and facilitate executive team efforts to identify and prioritize key strategic initiatives.
  4. Assist in managing the organization's strategic scorecard cascaded down to SBUs and departments.
  5. Track and report on the progress towards achieving the strategic goals and objectives.
  6. Assist the Chief Strategy Advisor on financial and strategic planning.
  7. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and partnerships with third parties, coordinating strategy-related matters.
  8. Provide significant breadth and depth of strategic and operational analytical capability to assess the organization's current and future position.
  9. Develop, analyze, and provide the necessary information on which strategic decisions are based.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to fully assess the viability of strategic initiatives.
  11. Provide input into the implementation planning of strategic initiatives.
  12. Manage and monitor the central performance management unit.
  13. Develop and manage competitive positioning strategy.
  14. Develop business plans for the President's office and oversee the SBU business plans.
  15. Collaborate with Finance Department to conduct financial feasibility studies.
  16. Assume any other responsibilities as directed by the Chief Strategy Advisor.
  17. Provide comprehensive solutions to effectively plan and implement strategic initiatives utilizing project management best practices, tools, and technology.
  18. Assist the Strategy Advisor to lead strategic projects as per the strategic planning process.
  19. Oversee third-party consultants hired to assist with strategic initiatives.
  20. Conduct and facilitate organizational training/workshops related to program/project management.
