Job Title: Lead Handover & Completion

Location: Doha, Qatar

Duration: 2 Years Project

Status: Rotational 12/2 weeks, 6 days per week, 10 hours per day

Job Purpose:

  1. Provides technical expertise and guidance during Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure that quality facilities are delivered to the Operations customer.
  2. Provides System Completion database surveillance and guidance to Hand Over and Completion Engineers.
  3. Monitors System Completion database population and Site activities progress.
  4. Provides technical expertise for System completion dossiers reviews.
  5. Ensures completion of A, B, C check sheets match project schedule.
  6. Reports any risk of project schedule deviation.
  7. Ensures dossier reviews are done on time and as per project schedule.
  8. Ensures readiness of Walkdown.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  1. Champions on-site safety awareness and safe performance with contractor and among Project Team.
  2. Focal point for all RFI notifications (Notice for inspection).
  3. Leads DC, RFC, RFSU and PHA/HA dossier reviews from Contractor.
  4. Establishes summary reports to reflect the Systems Completion status.
  5. Leads completeness of handover dossier from construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning as well as the contractual handover documentation in coordination with the relevant discipline and department heads.
  6. Reports to the Hand Over and Completion Division Manager and his deputy on system completion daily activities and work progress.
  7. Participates and provides inputs, resolutions on Completion coordination meetings.
  8. Ensures readiness of Walkdown when notified by Contractor (A,B,C check sheet completion progress, system/subsystem status).

  2. Communicates concisely in written and verbal context; prepares high-quality written documents including e-mails.

Problem Solving/Complexity:

  1. Utilizes a systematic approach to problem-solving ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality of documentation in resolution.
  2. Able to work moderately complex tasks to completion within time constraints of Project, with minimal guidance from more experienced staff.
  3. Participates in the resolution of problems in more demanding and less familiar situations using precedent and own acquired knowledge.

Decision Making Authority and Responsibility:

  1. Able to work within a defined role with limited supervision.
  2. Responsible for own work product with minimal guidance and oversight from immediate supervisor.
  3. Establishes credibility with peers and supervisors and makes good use of their time.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  1. Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Engineering.
  2. Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in EPC/EPCC projects, in both engineering home office and field construction sites, with strong skills in:
    1. Specifications, codes, and standards.
    2. Interpretation of IFC construction drawings.
    3. Hand Over and completion process.
    4. Computing science and Databases (Excel, Access).
  3. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills.
  5. Experience working in multicultural environments.
  6. Strong knowledge of system completion tools.

Qualifications required:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
