The Concept Store Manager will be managing the day-to-day operations of the "Boutique" in providing the highest level of product and service to the guests in keeping the overall philosophy and concept of the boutique and Caravane Earth. You will use your talents to strengthen our Caravane Earth image and to generate increased sales in an atmosphere of high employee morale. Given the early stage of the Caravane Earth project, the Concept Store Manager will also play an important role in defining the strategy and product market fit for the business.

**Definition, Setup and Design**

1. Set direction in conceptualizing, developing designs and execution of new ideas for the Retail Concept, i.e., new store openings, annual roadshow, product launches, in-store & product display concepts.

3. Continuously improve and enhance the Concept Design through user feedback, observation, and research

4. Ensure that all concept initiatives and outputs are creative, effective, and actionable with tangible commercial and brand equity results.

**Merchandising**

1. Facilitate current and establish future Concept Design platform/s and Concept Guidelines to the store through good command of retail principles and implementing effective store layouts, visual merchandising, and in-store presentation.

2. Ensures all merchandise is presented in a fresh, clean, and inviting manner.

3. Ensures all merchandise is attractively and neatly displayed in a highly visible and easily accessible way.

4. Ensures the merchandise is individually priced, labels are always facing outwards, hanging items face the same direction, folded items are of the same size, and there are sizes to different merchandise (apparel, accessories etc.).

5. Articulates the pricing policy of the boutique items to ensure a fair price to the guest, in conjunction with the Financial Controller and General Manager.

6. Proposes changes in the pricing strategy, based on competition analysis and the target customer.

7. Is responsible for sourcing of new products for the boutique, which would ensure variety of products in the boutique.

8. Implementing creative and innovative displays at the boutique to enhance the look of the boutique and maintain the requisite standards of cleanliness and hygiene, as required.

**Sales**

1. Responsible for and expected to meet or exceed developed sales plans and target metric objectives.

2. Maintains a commitment to the company’s sales processes, values and business code of ethics.

3. Drives sales and monitors each product segment and ensures patterns of poor performance are addressed.

4. Monitors employee/customer interactions and provides constructive feedback on ways employees can improve service and increase sales.

5. Responsible for driving customer traffic by participating in approved local events and/or marketing opportunities as well as through cross sale opportunities with other Caravane Earth business units.

**Management**

1. Ensures that the Concept Store is in keeping with international standards, and that the overall environment is attractive and comfortable (ambiance, smell, music, atmosphere) to entice guests to spend time in the store and purchase items as well as create a long term relationship to the store and Caravane Earth.

2. Participates at financial review meetings.

3. Ensures proper monthly inventories of the boutique stocks in conjunction with the Cost Controller and ensures adherence to the requisite standards.

4. Makes sure purchasing is done as per the requirements and stocks in hand, so that there is optimum utilization of resources and there is no over stocking/blocking of capital, at any point of time.

5. Follows-up directly with suppliers on delivery status. On receiving of the goods on the island together with the receiving officer

6. Ensures that the whole team is well groomed and uniformed, as described in by Caravane Earth grooming standards.

7. Demonstrates the ability to develop a culture of recognition, accountability, discipline and urgency.

8. Trains staff on how to drive sales to fullest potential through continued development on product knowledge, customer service standards and visual presentation.

9. Partners with Human Resources to hire, develop and retain top talent, as well as, address employee relations issues.

10. Ability to build and maintain an effective succession plan for store.

11. Always ensures adequate staffing by appropriately scheduling staff based on business trends and making any necessary seasonal adjustments, within wage goal/budget.

12. Sets specific performance standards and ensures associates contribute to the company objectives.

13. Mentors and develops key performers to be ready for career progression.
