We are seeking a driven leader with a passion for shaping thinking and practice in the day-to-day running of the school as we continue to strive for excellence in pastoral care, well-being, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead the stakeholder engagement, pastoral life, and champion exemplary safeguarding practices throughout the school. You will have a strong understanding of the importance of stakeholders in a secondary school and will work with our highly effective leadership team to encourage great collaboration and mutual respect throughout the campus. You are a team player, able to bring out the best in our dedicated staff, our amazing children, and our families.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead strategically on stakeholder involvement to raise standards and stakeholder expectations and accountability as part of the process for evaluating school performance
- Support teams to address well-being concerns and maintain high academic standards and expectations
- Provide a strategic vision for all aspects of PSHE
- Liaise with colleagues in our primary phase and our sister school to support continuity and share good practice
- Line manage up to three faculties across all key stages to ensure continual improvements for provision and student outcomes and develop staff confidence and professional growth
- Role model excellent practice and the QatarEnergy values
- Provide robust feedback and challenge to colleagues and support improvements against appropriate national standards
- Use various data points and sources to improve school life for our students
- Lead professional development on successful and innovative stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Clear understanding and implementation of our shared vision and mission
- Work with the community to develop good relationships and parent school partnerships

**Essential**:

- Qualified Teacher Status
- Recent and up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum for England
- At least three years’ experience in a leadership capacity, preferably in a high performing UK or international school
- Highly effective leader, able to motivate and engage colleagues through change
- A team player able to foster trust and offer challenge to colleagues
- Proven team leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to continued personal and professional development
- L3 safeguarding qualification
- Experience of school management systems to support stakeholder engagement e.g., Classcharts and Evolve
- A secure understanding of an evidence-based, contextually driven school improvement cycle
- An ability to recognise and celebrate success and provide effective and credible feedback
- Good understanding of systems and processes to support the academic and social development of vulnerable children and those with SEND

**Desirable**:

- NPQSL
- EVC trained
- Experience of careers guidance
- Subject specialism in either French, Spanish or one of the three sciences
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of concept-led curricula at KS3
