**About the role**

We are recruiting for Manager Supplier Quality - POAD, to be based in Doha, Qatar.

The Manager Supplier Quality will be managing the Supplier’s product quality planning by validating that processes followed in accordance to defined standards and requirements. He/She will also be managing and executing the acceptance of the company’s supplier’s end products ensuring to meet and maintain the quality standard defined by Qatar Airways through the established and agreed quality criteria document and specifications.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:
**Operational**:

- Manages all communication and responsibilities between Qatar Airways and its suppliers’ quality department to establish the required processes during production site visits and establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals.
- Develops and maintains inspection procedures for Receiving Inspection to make sure the product is received free from any shipping/ inappropriate packaging damages.
- Leads the product quality planning reviews of Suppliers on matters related to customer inputs to ensure continuing improvement in production is maintained.
- Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product quality and verify the implementation of the solution.
- Strategically monitor supplier performance improvement in an effort to increase the supplier quality of consistently meeting the airline requirements.
- Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformances.
- Ensures reviewing of both Supplier and Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) deficiency notifications, their respective dispositions, including the consultation between both Supplier and Qatar Airways related departments on a case requirement basis.
- Liaises with Manager Aircraft Deliveries to support resources requirements during the acceptance and delivery phase.
- Manages team during supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement with the suppliers.
- Liaises with Vendor & Contract performance leadership to monitor the supplier KPI’s and to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the supplier base.
- Coordination with internal departments for resolution of in-service issues of new products/systems.
- Performs other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

**Additional Accountabilities**
- Participates on new Aircrafts definition and product selection along with the rest of other internal stakeholders.
- Participates on Product and work scope definition and development through initial Technical Coordination Meeting (ITCM), Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) with involved suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Participates with Aircraft Program Team in the creation of Product Specification Document (PSD) or/and the Quality Criteria Documents (QCD) that meets or exceeds the desired Qatar Airways requirements.
- Participates on the inspections of product/systems mock-ups or demonstration units at supplier facilities or trade shows. Similarly, all relevant mock-ups or demonstration units that need to be shown for review.
- Reviews and provides customer requirements to Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) process with Suppliers
- Verification of product realization through inspection of first article production with relevant stakeholders (FAI).
- Participation in aircraft definition exercises through trade study meetings, conferences, symposiums etc. with OEM’s, Suppliers and other operators.
- Provides technical support and guidance to Aircraft Program team to solve quality issues.

**About you**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 8 years of job-related experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline (or non-technical degree with 12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and program management or supplier quality management).
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes, review of Supplier Quality documentation, and participated in the completion of major aviation project.
- Excellent knowledge in different AS9100 Aerospace Standards
- Lean-Six Sigma certified with minimum
