**PYP Counsellor/Learning Support Leader**

**Mission**: Identify situations/patterns of achievement and/or behaviour affecting student/school progress and well-being and collaborates with others to develop solutions.

**Responsibilities**:
Works closely with tutors, teachers and students to ensure the following objectives are achieved:

- Students acquire the attitudes, knowledge, and skills that contribute to effective learning in school and across the life span.
- Students acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and interpersonal skills to help them understand and respect themselves and others.
- Provides support to the tutors and teachers in issues related to behaviour management.
- Provides parents or guardians education, information, and training, to enhance their understanding of their role in the learning experience of the students
- Analyses school data and identifies trends or systemic barriers that affect the academic, emotional and/or social progress of the students.
- Supports the Leadership Team to ensure the school provides a safe and positive environment for students to achieve their goals related to academic and personal development.
- Supports the admissions department in conducting preschool admission assessments and interviews.

**Requirements**:

- Teaching qualification adequate for the teaching job.
- ICT knowledge.
- Experience relevant to the job.
- Fluency in English. Arabic and Spanish desirable.
- Double degrees, master and international experience are valued positively.
- Previous experience and knowledge in learning support is desired
