Maintenance Superintendent

**PRIMARY PURPOSE**

Plan, manage and coordinate the routine scheduling, maintenance, calibration, inspection and troubleshooting activities of all equipment and machinery of downstream operations and all facilities to ensure optimum plant integrity and reliability in accord with Dolphin Energy guidelines and HSE&S standards in order to support uninterrupted operations and effective upkeep of assets.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead the effective cascading of the maintenance strategy into sectional policies and procedures for all areas in mechanical, electrical, instrumental, telecommunication, controls and systems in line with the overall business objectives for downstream.
- Participate in the development of the maintenance budget in line with operational requirements and the overall maintenance strategy while ensuring all activities are in line with the approved budgets and reporting on any non-conformances to Senior Manager - Maintenance & Planning for corrective action.
- Assist the Senior Manager - Maintenance & Planning in developing the annual and long term overall maintenance plan in line with company’s overall maintenance strategy. Develop and seek approval for the monthly overall maintenance schedule ensuring alignment to the annual maintenance plan and control the implementation of schedule as per set timelines, maintenance strategy and HSE&S and quality standards.
- Coordinate and administer the effective implementation of approved plans in liaison with the discipline engineers and operations team across the gas network and facilities within set timelines and budget to facilitate uninterrupted operations. Plan, supervise and coordinate matters related to all maintenance requirements, of all related facilities of downstream to ensure efficient and smooth operations at all units.
- Diagnose faults, analyze malfunctions and breakdowns and plan work schedules accordingly while determining priorities in consultation with the process department in order to ensure continuous operations of the plant. Ensure that correct procedures are implemented to protect and fully utilize the physical network and equipment.
- Identify material/equipment required for all maintenance management activities according to preventive maintenance schedule, work requisitions or notifications in urgent and emergency situations and coordinate for the timely availability of all requirements. Review annual requirement for mechanical material, spare parts etc. for facility development and advise on stock levels, material descriptions etc. while recommending alternatives or interchanges to ensure optimum utilization of resources.
- Receive and evaluate bids for the supply of equipment or spare parts, check applicability of technical content of bids to ensure these match requirements, physically inspect specimen materials and raise appropriate recommendations to Senior Manager - Maintenance & Planning. Facilitate accurate procurement of stocks by participating in the technical evaluations of the merchandise and advising on the operational requirements.
- Act as a technical expert to ensure that all modifications to the maintenance systems are correctly designed and implemented ensuring that the requirements of Dolphin Energy policies and safety regulations are met while achieving best optimization of maintenance operations according to the availability of equipment and workforce.
- Liaise with manufacturers' representatives on problems occurring with machinery operation maintenance, which cannot be solved within Dolphin Energy (Includes providing reports and keeping record of works carried out.) Ensure that all maintenance documentation is completed correctly including the Log, outlining the fault, method of repair and the time, labor and materials used to support timely availability of information.
- Examine performance and maintenance problems for a variety of equipment together with the team, facilitate the conducting of root cause analysis and ensure that technical maintenance assistance is provided for the solution of such problems. - Maintain and update the preventive maintenance program and its master plan ensuring quality and relevance as well as implementation. Lead the timely coordination with other department personnel on matters related to maintenance requirements and setting preventive maintenance and overhauling schedules as required while leading the effective implementation of same as per defined standards.
- Receive requisitions or notification in urgent and emergency situations, investigate maintenance requirements and provide required technical expertise while supervising work progress and completion to ensure set technical standards and operational levels are maintained.
