Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

**Assistant Entertainment Manager**

This position is responsible to assist the Entertainment Manager in day-to-day management of performances, events, technicians, artistes and entertainers.

**What you will be doing**:

- Checking/evaluating all activities, performances and events and responses of guests
- Ensure good time keeping of performances plus suitability of ambient lighting, sound levels and background music
- Arrange and lead meetings with Team Heads (i.e Dance Captain, Stage Manager etc.)
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of an event, from start to finish
- Preparation of Performance News and daily program and distribution of team rotas
- In conjunction with Stage Manager issue fault reports
- Ensure that Entertainment Team carries out all mandatory safety procedures as required
- Revenue - ensure entertainment and guest flow supports and maximises revenue opportunities in conjunction with other departments
- Making sure that all operations run smoothly, including scheduling rehearsals and performances and making sure that all technical elements are working properly
- Liaise with marketing to create advertisements or organize promotional events
- Evaluating the success of an event based on factors such as ticket sales, attendance levels, and customer satisfaction levels
- Handling tasks related to event planning, such as selecting a venue, hiring performers, coordinating catering services with caterers, and selecting decorations and other event elements

**Your experience and skills include**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management / Hospitality / Public Relations
- Minimum three years’ in the required field
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
